Thrilling tales coming to Bowhill Theatre
24th April, 2018
A host of new, captivating characters are set to be brought to life in Bowhill Theatre with two upcoming performances.
On Saturday 28th April, the theatre will welcome a Splinters Productions Double Bill of Nancy Sleekit & Howard’s Revenge.
The performance tells the tale of two intriguing characters in these not-to-be-missed Victorian entertainments.
Set in Edinburgh, widow Nancy Sleekit regales the audience with stories of her three husbands and how they met their untimely ends.
Irish actor and manager JB Howard takes up the role of Rob Roy MacGregor at the Theatre Royal in the Scottish capital – but behind the scenes lurks a conspiracy.
Then on Tuesday 22nd May, Dyad Productions brings not one, but thirteen of Jane Austen’s heroines to the stage in Austen’s Women.
Watch Rebecca Vaughan become some of Austen’s most-loved characters in this superb celebration of her works.
Helen Currie, House and Events Manager at Bowhill, said: “A diverse mix of characters are set to tread the boards of Bowhill’s stage. Sure to thrill and delight audiences, these fantastic performances are a must-see.
“Enjoy a wonderful night at Bowhill Theatre and don’t forget you can also indulge in a delicious pre-theatre supper beforehand.”
