Superb September events at Bowhill House

Scotland’s national poet is set to visit Bowhill House this month as part of its September events programme.
Scotland’s Makar, Jackie Kay will recite some of her poems about what it is to be Scottish in Bowhill Theatre on 17 September (7.30pm) as part of the YES (Yarrow, Ettrick and Selkirk) Arts Festival.
Later in the month the theatre play host to John Watterson who will bring the songs of Jake Thackray to life in his show, The Lost Will and Testament of Jake Thackray.
The show, on 22 September at (8pm) will air some of Jake’s forgotten gems, capturing the unique Thackray guitar style and his iconic satirical lyrics.
