Pick your play-time favourite at Bowhill

4th December, 2014

Borders families are being invited to choose the next exciting piece of playground equipment to land at Bowhill House and Country Estate.

The Estate is gearing up to add a new addition to its popular adventure playground and is giving locals three fantastic new features to choose from.

A hexagonal swing, a tractor tyre swing and cross-scales are the choices on offer and people can vote by liking a photograph of the relevant piece of play equipment on Facebook.

The winning piece of kit will be announced at Bowhill’s annual Christmas Fair on December 13,where a ballot will also be taken and added to the social media poll.

The hexagonal swing lets participants swing and sway while chatting with friends and the tractor tyre swing allows free movement in every direction, with lots of options for turning and swinging games.

The cross-scales are a see-saw with raised seats, which can be used for both jumping and swinging. All are suitable for children aged six and over.

Sarah Peat, Customer Services Manager at Bowhill, said: “The playground is very popular with our visiting youngsters so we wanted to give families a chance to be involved in deciding on our latest addition.

“I’m sure all three options would provide hours of fun but we’re calling on all of you to help us pick a winner!”

The play area was revamped earlier this year for the 2014 season and already includes two zip-wires, each spanning an impressive 30 metres in length, and two embankment slides on platform towers, connected with a rope bridge.  There are also plans to add some accessible pieces of equipment  which everyone should be able to enjoy.
