Fly to Neverland for a fairy-tale family weekend

24th May, 2017

Second to the right and straight on till morning is the call to Lost Boys and Tinkerbells this bank holiday for a magical weekend at Bowhill House and Country Estate.

The Peter Pan-themed weekend, from 11am-4pm every day from Saturday 27 May until Monday 29 May, is perfect for little ones – and parents who aren’t quite ready to grow up.

Families can build dens like Lost Boys, create glittering wands to chant for fairies or voyage on a crocodile hunt led by Captain Hook.

The whole family will also have the chance to go on the lookout for Shadows during tours of Bowhill House and sprinkle pixie dust around the Estate on Tinkerbell trails and treasure hunts.

Rory Powell, Countryside, Learning and Engagement Ranger, said: “Whether you believe in fairies or not, our magical weekend has something for all the family to enjoy.

“There will be plenty going on throughout the weekend to keep everyone entertained, from crafts to outdoor adventures based on the much-loved tale of Peter Pan and its beloved characters.

“We can’t wait to welcome visitors over the weekend to explore Bowhill Estate on a fairy-tale journey though Neverland.”

There are limited numbers for some activities, so booking in advance is strongly recommended but with several drop in style sessions on the agenda too – there is an adventure for everyone.

As well as a full schedule of Neverland Weekend activities, Bowhill House will be open for Guided Tours throughout the weekend. The Adventure Playground, tearoom and gift shop will also be open.

Estate entry applies for all visitors throughout the weekend.

Entry for the Estate and Gardens costs £4.50 for adults and £3.50 for concessions and children aged 3-16 years. Under 3 years go free and families (two adults and two children) cost just £14.
