Festive events at Bowhill to get you in the Christmas spirit

22nd November, 2017

The popular Santa Jog is set to return to Bowhill House and Country Estate on 2 December to kick off its festive activities.

Following on from the success of its Zombie Jog, which saw more than 100 locals don their best scary costumes and complete a 1 mile or 5k course around the Estate, runners and walkers are invited to suit up as Santa.

Santa himself will start the race before retiring to his grotto to hear the wish lists of youngsters.

Helen Currie, House and Events Manager at Bowhill House, said: “Our fun Santa Jog is a fantastic way to welcome the festive season and is suitable for all the family.

“Participants must register in advance via our website and half of the entry fee will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.

“As well as the chance to visit our magical grotto to see Santa, the tearoom will also be offering a selection of light lunches, delicious cakes and warming drinks.

“Guests can also stick around for our magical performance of The Princess and the Goblin which begins at 3pm in Bowhill’s theatre.”

Bowhill will also be running a number of wreath making sessions as well as a one-off Christmas garland workshops, offering the chance to create your very own traditional Christmas decorations.

The two hour sessions include a hot drink and treat.

The wreath making sessions take place on 5th to 7th December at 10am as well as 12th December at 2pm and 6pm and cost £22 per person.

The Christmas garland making workshop takes place on 13th December from 10am to 12.30pm and costs £25 per person.

Pre-booking for both workshops is essential. Spots can be secured by emailing info@bowhillhouse.co.uk or calling 01750 22204.
