Egg-citement at Bowhill as Easter arrives
15th April, 2014
Bowhill House and Country Estate is set to host a cracking day of Easter fun with a range of themed activities for all the family.
The Easter Fun Day, which takes place on April 20 between 11am-4pm, will feature two Easter themed nature trails specially designed for the day, taking visitors around the Estate.
One is for children under six, while the other is for those aged six and above. Both will see participants following Easter clues to reach the finish line, where they will be rewarded with a tasty treat.
Youngsters keen to showcase their creative talents will get the chance to shine in the ‘Eggs Factor’ competition. All visitors can vote for their favourite and the person with the most egg-stra special painted or decorated egg will take home a yummy prize.
Entrants to the competition can either bring their own artistic egg along with them or decorate one at the Estate for a small charge of £1*.
There will be plenty of entertainment to enjoy throughout the day, including a Punch and Judy show and balloon modelling.
Furthermore, Bowhill’s furry and friendly resident ‘Nutty the Squirrel’ will be on-hand to say hello and offer visitors a warm welcome.
Also taking place on the Estate on April 20 is the family-friendly theatre show, The Secret Life of Suitcases, which begins at 3pm. Tickets are priced at £4 per person.
Helen Currie, House and Events Manager at Bowhill, said: “Our 2014 season is off to a flying start and our Easter Fun Day makes a great addition to the exciting events we have planned for the coming months.
“Children and adults alike can come along and enjoy a day of fun to mark to close of the school holidays.”
