Duo of events return to Bowhill by popular demand
6th August, 2018
Rave reviews from visitors will see two of its most popular events return to Bowhill House this month.
Elspeth Smellie and Handlebards are back at the iconic visitor destination with two very different events.
Try your hand at playing the harp with a two day workshop delivered by the talented Elspeth Smellie. The sessions on 18th and 19th August are perfect for beginners. Harps are provided.
On 24th August, visitors can enjoy a theatre performance with a difference as an all-female cast from Handlebards take to their bicycles to tell the infamous story of Romeo and Juliet.
The performance is set to take place outdoors against the beautiful backdrop of Bowhill House and Country Estate.
To celebrate VisitScotland’s Year of Young People, Bowhill is offering one free child (under-16s) ticket with each paying adult for the Handlebards performance.
Helen Currie, House Manager at Bowhill House and Country Estate, said: “We are very excited to welcome Elspeth Smellie and Handlebards back to Bowhill.
“Both the harp workshop and unique theatre performance proved hugely popular last year, therefore we’d urge those interested to book their place at their earliest convenience.
“Do remember to dress appropriately for the weather if attending the outdoor theatre performance.”
