Struggling to entertain the kids every day of the school holidays? No need to worry as the team at Bowhill House and Grounds in Selkirk will be hosting activities every day in July and August.

Located within two hours’ drive of both Glasgow and Edinburgh, Bowhill is one of Scotland’s finest country estates and home to Duke of Buccleuch – the perfect destination to explore the great outdoors on a sunny summer’s day.

The estate’s skilled team of Rangers are passionate about preserving the natural habitat of Bowhill’s resident wildlife and take great pride in sharing their knowledge with others, especially youngsters.

Bowhill’s Ranger Holiday Club and Nutty’s Little Squirrels the team covers a range of topics with hands-on workshops including pond dipping, den and raft building, bug hunting and wildlife crafts.

Entry to the holiday clubs costs from £2.50 per child – those aged eight and over can come unsupervised, but children under eight will have to bring a parent or guardian along to join in.

For those visiting in August and looking to immerse themselves in the fascinating history, art and architecture of Bowhill and the Buccleuch family, be sure to book a guided House tour. Led by passionate experts, the tours are an opportunity to explore the magnificent country home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch. Advance booking is recommended.
