Bowhill shows true community spirit

17th July, 2015

Bowhill House and Country Estate is showing its community spirit with the re-introduction of its Community Fund.

This season, the Estate has £1,000 to give away in small donations of up to £500 to community groups in the central Scottish Borders in need of funding support.

In previous years, Bowhill has sponsored Selkirk Rhinos’ rugby shirts, as well as making a £300 donation to Children 1st in Selkirk.

Helen Currie, House and Events Manager at Bowhill, said: “We’re delighted to launch a Community Fund for the 2015 season. Our last round of donations was very successful, giving us the chance to make a difference to local groups in need of funding support.

“We’re looking forward to yet again assisting groups that truly benefit the local community, and we’ve made the application process very simple to make life easier for those making submissions.

“I would encourage those looking for support to apply – whether they need funding for equipment, strips, uniforms or help with renting premises. We’re happy to help where it’s most needed.”
