Covid-19 Response

It is with regret that we have taken the difficult decision not to reopen Bowhill House to visitors this year.

This will be a disappointment to our visitors, as it is for all of our teams, but at a time such as this, the safety and wellbeing of visitors, colleagues and local communities must be prioritised. We have a duty of care to protect the most vulnerable, and opening the House, would not allow us to do this.

The team at Bowhill House are passionate about the experience our visitors have when they tour the House, and we look forward to welcoming you back inside in 2021.

However, Bowhill Grounds will re-open on Friday the 3rd July, for three days a week.  Tickets will be required to enter the Grounds.  If you wish to visit please book your ticket on-line.

On site there will be a light take away service from the Minstrel Tearoom of teas, coffees and light refreshments, you are also welcome to picnic around our grounds (but please note there are no tables available). There will be a small number of mobile toilet facilities available at the car park with an accessible unit in the courtyard.

Please note that the adventure playground remains closed at this time.  We are working towards getting this open in the coming weeks.  Please also note that the House, formal Gardens, Exhibition and Gift Shop will also remain closed until the end of 2020.
