Borders homes dressed with handmade wreaths
24th December, 2018
Christmas crafters have been creating sparkling festive wreaths for their home at workshops held throughout December at Bowhill House and Grounds.
The picturesque Estate held six craft sessions in total this year with more than 60 people taking part in the tradition of making fresh evergreen wreaths to hang on their front doors.
All the materials were provided by the team at Bowhill to make the wreaths as colourful, fragrant, elaborate or subtle as desired allowing guests to add a personal touch to their home decorations. Everyone could also enjoy a hot drink and mince pie while following step-by-step tuition suitable for experienced and novice crafters alike.
Friends, families and work colleagues all took part in the two hour workshops this year with many returning to Bowhill after making wreaths there in previous years.
Helen Currie, House Manager at Bowhill House and Grounds, said: “Our wreath making workshops have proved very popular once again this year with a whole range of groups taking part. It’s a lovely way to get into the Christmas spirit and we have been so impressed by all the creations.”
