Saddle up for a new riding adventure at Bowhill
If you fancy a new riding challenge, the Buccleuch Country Ride could be just the adventure you’re looking for. Imagine hacking for 57 miles through the beautiful Borders scenery, crossing the scenic Cheviot and Lammermuir hills.
The Buccleuch Country Ride is the first long distance trail of its kind in Scotland, a fantastic route for competent riders eager to savour some extraordinary riding country.
You can do the ride as a whole over three or four days, or divide it up into seven smaller routes. All sections are marked with a white horseshoe symbol on a blue background.
Arrange your riding lessons and trekking through Broomhill Farm Equestrian Centre or Ian Stark Equestrian Stables.
For livery-only enquiries, please visit www.bowhill-stables.co.uk.
Note: The Buccleuch Country Ride covers many areas outwith Buccleuch Estates ownership. Please contact Bowhill Estate office on 01750 20753 if you are planning to do any of the routes during the winter months, as you will cross ground that is used for shooting and other activities.
