Jazz icon’s secrets revealed at Bowhill Theatre

Bowhill Theatre will welcome Mike Maran Productions for a musical performance entitled ‘A Funny Valentine’ inspired by iconic American jazz figure Chet Baker.

This story – written by Mike Maran– follows the life of Chet from jazz clubs to prison and unveils the secrets of his mysterious death.

The production features a popular soundtrack of jazz classics, including ‘When I Fall in Love’ and the play’s namesake ‘My Funny Valentine’, played by Colin Steele on trumpet and David Milligan on piano.

Arriving at Bowhill Theatre on Tuesday 30 May at 8pm, this American songbook tale is a must-see.

Bowhill’s intimate 72-seat auditorium is the perfect space to enjoy a night at the theatre. What’s more attendees also have the option to enjoy a delicious two-course pre-theatre supper followed by tea or coffee before taking their seat.

‘A Funny Valentine’ is suitable for those aged 15 and over. Tickets are priced £12 for adults and £10 for under 16s.

The optional pre-theatre supper is served at 6.30pm and is £13 per person. Booking essential.
