Bowhill has the eggs-factor this Easter

Bowhill House and Country Estate is set to launch its 2016 season with a day of egg-stra special Easter fun.
The weekend will also mark the fourth year of the popular ‘pay once’ scheme, which allows those who have paid for entry to visit the Estate as many times as they wish throughout the season during normal opening hours.
The Easter Fun Day takes place on Sunday, March 27, from 11am-4pm, and families are invited to take part in a host of themed activities during the egg-stravaganza.
Themed nature trails have been specially designed for the day, taking participants around the Estate as they follow a series of Easter clues to reach the finish line where they will be rewarded with a tasty treat.
There will be two trails catering for different age groups – under-6s can follow a short trail where they collect eggs in coloured buckets, while older children will venture further afield on the self-led trail with the help of a map. Tasty treats are up for grabs for those who complete the trails.
The popular ‘Eggs Factor’ competition will make a welcome return, giving artistic youngsters the chance to showcase their creativity by designing their own egg – with the winning design scooping a chocolate bunny rabbit.
There will also be a bouncy castle, magic show, balloon modelling from Peter Pepper, face painting, and special guest ‘Nutty the Squirrel’ will make a guest appearance. Normal entry fees apply and there is a small additional charge for some activities.
In addition there will be a free archery display with a chance to try your hand at the sport.
