Up-and-coming writers showcased at Bowhill theatre

4th March, 2015

Bowhill Theatre is set to play host to Northumberland Theatre Company as it returns with an evening of entertainment on March 12.

From 8pm, six actors will perform four new short plays in an evening of ‘Myth, Music, Mayhem and Mirth.’

The half hour plays – including a new musical – are entitled ‘Yan Tan Tethera’, ‘Undercover’, ‘The Arrangement’ and ‘Hedging Your Bets’.

The performances will showcase the emerging talent of four writers and promise to explore life in all its guises.

The audience can expect to experience a mix of emotions including plenty of laughs throughout the evening, as the plays offer comedy value and passion alongside high-energy and heart-warming moments.

Helen Currie, House and Events Manager at Bowhill House and Country Estate, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to see four fantastic theatre productions from new writing talent within the beautiful surroundings of Bowhill Theatre.

“The audience will see everything from ferocious storms to a date with the devil. It’s set to be a very exciting night of entertainment and we really look forward to putting on a good show for our regular visitors and hopefully some new faces too.”

Tickets for ‘4 Thoughts: Myth, Music, Mayhem, Mirth’ are priced at £12 per person with an optional theatre supper at 6.30pm costing an additional £13.
